Tara S. Green, Clerk of Court
The Honorable Tara S. Green was elected in November 2012 by the voters of Clay County. She was sworn into office on January 8, 2013 and is one of six Constitutional officers that serve the citizens of the county. During Clerk Green’s campaign, she committed to providing efficient, accurate and courteous service to Clay County. She continues to focus on streamlining the operations of the Clerk’s office and identifying opportunities for a more efficient office, all while providing exceptional service.
In the first six months of service, Clerk Green was appointed as Secretary/Treasurer for The Florida Courts E-Filing Authority Board. This board was created pursuant to legislative directive to provide oversight to the development, implementation and operation of a statewide portal designed to process the filing of court documents. The Authority provides governance for the statewide Florida Courts E-Filing Portal. The portal operates under the rules and standards set by the courts and in cooperation with the Florida Courts Technology Commission. Clerk Green served on several other statewide committees during her first year in office. In August 2014, Clerk Green was appointed as Chair of the Performance, Improvement and Efficiency Committee.
Clerk Green is committed to serving the residents of Clay County in the most effective and efficient manner, and also actively represents Clay County in many local clubs, fundraisers and charities as well as across the State of Florida as it relates to the Clerk’s Office and its overall operations.
